One School-One site

At last! After many years of campaigning, huge amounts of patience and countless meetings
the ‘One School-One Site’ project has the green light to go ahead. Following Thursday’s Lancashire Locals Meeting, in true Thunderbirds fashion, ‘all systems are go!’ for this £3.7 million new buld.
Bulding work is due to commence during the October half -term week and is expected to last
approximately a year, with expected opening of the new school in January 2010. The bulding
work will all take place at Linden Drive and will involve changes to the front of the school, road
alterations and the bulding of new Key Stage One, Reception and Nursery facilities. .

French Day



In recognition of European Languages Day we held a ‘French Day’ on Friday 26th September.
During this school year, all the chidren at Linden Drive wil have the chance to follow a structured
curriculum in French, but the children on both sides had the opportunity to experience an enjoyable day in which they learnt about the French language and culture through a variety of interesting
and varied activities.
