One School-One site |
At last! After many years of campaigning, huge amounts of patience and countless meetings |
the ‘One School-One Site’ project has the green light to go ahead. Following Thursday’s Lancashire Locals Meeting, in true Thunderbirds fashion, ‘all systems are go!’ for this £3.7 million new buld. |
Bulding work is due to commence during the October half -term week and is expected to last |
approximately a year, with expected opening of the new school in January 2010. The bulding |
work will all take place at Linden Drive and will involve changes to the front of the school, road |
alterations and the bulding of new Key Stage One, Reception and Nursery facilities. . |

French Day |
In recognition of European Languages Day we held a ‘French Day’ on Friday 26th September. |
During this school year, all the chidren at Linden Drive wil have the chance to follow a structured |
curriculum in French, but the children on both sides had the opportunity to experience an enjoyable day in which they learnt about the French language and culture through a variety of interesting |
and varied activities. |

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a school fit for the 21st century, education that will leave a legacy of excellent educational provision for generations of children in Lostock Hall. |
